If you’re looking for a fun place to spend your summer learning English, doing sport and making friends to last a lifetime, there’s no better place than Dublin! You’ll attend lively and entertaining English classes on the historic campus of Terenure College, located in a beautiful mansion house with sprawling green gardens. (During the first two weeks of the programme, classes may be held in an alternative school building.) After your daily morning classes, you’ll have lunch and then dive into the activities programme, including traditional Irish sports and cultural and shopping trips into the centre of Dublin. Make friends, improve your English and have the experience of a lifetime while becoming immersed in Irish culture and living with a local family.

Every aspect of the English language, including speaking, listening, reading and writing will be covered in this comprehensive and fun language course! On the first day of school, students will take a placement test to ensure they enter the right class. Students are encouraged to speak the language in class to communicate both with their teachers and fellow students. Progress tests will show students how far they’ve come, and excursions and activities will allow students to put their language skills to the test in a practical setting.

Sehr dichter Zeitplan (im positiven Sinn), viele Unternehmungen, sehr nettes Team, angenehme und relativ entspannte Stimmung. Wir hatten relativ wenig Zeit in der Gastfamilie, trotzdem sehr nett und hat sich schnell nicht mehr so "fremd" gefühlt. Freizeit am Abend konnten wir (fast) frei wählen was wir machen. Ausflüge waren eben bekannte Sehenswürdigkeiten. Dafür konnte man sich auch genügend Zeit nehmen. Das Team war auch jederzeit Kontaktierbar (via WhatsApp Gruppe)

Host family
Learn how real Dubliners live by staying with a friendly host family in total English immersion! You’ll share a twin bedroom (bed linen included but you must bring your own towels) and bathroom with another student of the same gender. You’ll also have access to free Wi-Fi, laundry facilities and a study desk. Full board is included, which means a continental breakfast at home, a packed lunch to take and then dinner with your family. Host families are located within a 45-minute bus ride from the school. Please note that this type of accommodation is best-suited to independent students who will be comfortable getting to the school on their own using public transport (approximate price for one week: €43).

Lively Dublin is the perfect setting for fun! The school staff will take you into the heart of the city centre, where you can discover sights like Trinity College, St Stephen’s Green and Grafton Street, great for shopping! Activities range from trying your hand at Irish sports like hurling or Gaelic football, to bowling and cultural activities like trips to the Natural History Museum or Dublinia. You’ll go on excursions with the programme’s group leaders and your new friends to seaside towns like Howth or Bray and to Croke Park Stadium, which hosts Gaelic sports teams. In the evenings, you’ll spend time with your host families or head back to the school to partake in Irish dancing, movie nights and more!
