Our partner school favours individualised teaching and a personalised contact between teachers and students. In a residential district surrounded by two parks, Cosmocollege occupies two adjacent buildings, close to public transport. The city’s trams stop in front of the door and bring you to the centre of Anvers in 15 minutes. In the main building, there is a lounge with computers available for students’ use. In the three bright classrooms situated on the ground floor of the second building, a one minute walk away from the first, the teaching of Dutch takes place in the best conditions. Each classroom has TV, DVD and CD equipment. In the bright and spacious cafeteria, a lunch is served every day of the week. For breaks, there are vending machines for snacks and drinks. On the first floor, there are two classrooms and on the third, two bedrooms are available to accommodate students. Internet access is free in the two buildings via WiFi.

Testimonials

Inès Dubuisson
Inès Dubuisson
Cosmocollege, Antwerp
Duration: 1 month

Antwerp is the perfect place for a language course if you don’t want to get bored. I spent 1 month there and I only have good memories from it. First, my family took good care of me; I felt like at home, which allowed me to be comfortable and share unforgettable moments with them (society games, laughter, discussions…). As regards the school, the teachers are very competent. They correct students’ mistakes according to their level so that everyone progresses at their own pace. In the evening, we would go out among students, of course. Meeting students from all over the world, of all ages and with different interests is one of the assets of this experience. About the city: it has many museums and interesting historical buildings but also many bars where you can meet up and have some great moments with other students.

Host family
Situated 10-45 minutes from the school by bus, tram or bicycle, the host families accommodate students who wish to have total immersion in the Dutch language. They propose half board during the week and full board at weekends. You can choose between the option of being on your own or to stay with your host family with another student in a shared room.

The visit of museums and exhibitions, guides tours, diverse outings – the teachers of our partner school Cosmocollege in Anvers organise and accompany cultural and social activities which form part of the course and encourage students to spontaneously deal with the subject encountered. Antwerp is a city which has no shortage of attractions. All around the cathedral, small restaurants and a stagecoach ride radiate a pleasant smell of holidays. Steen Castle and the banks of the Scheldt, which resembles the sea here, transport you to other worlds. The Rubens Museum, in the house where he was born, is a treasury of discoveries. Allow yourself to be tempted by the various activities proposed by our partner school. Bowling, karaoke, mini golf, quizzes, swimming etc. are on the programme. Some activities are free, others are at a small cost. You will spend pleasant moments in the company of the other international students !
