Our partner school overlooks a beautiful park located close to Brisbane’s central station. 24 very comfortable classrooms fitted with data projectors and interactive whiteboards provide the setting for your English classes. The lounge opens onto a terrace where students can meet up to have lunch or a drink and chat. On this very terrace, the teachers also run special activities that encourage students to interact and communicate with one another. There are computers available in the computer lab and the student lounge includes a ping-pong table and a Wii in order for you to chill out after or between the lessons together with the other international participants. You can prepare or warm up your meals in one of the two shared kitchens in the course centre. The school also includes two covered patios – ideal meeting places for students - and provides free Wi-Fi Internet access throughout the building.
The ILSC Brisbane school is specialised in IELTS, TOEIC and Cambridge exams preparation courses and offers a wide range of thematic elective courses.

Do you think you've made progress?

Testimonials

Julie Pellaton
Julie Pellaton
 ILSC Education Group, Brisbane
Duration: 14 weeks

I am very happy here. People are really nice. Teachers are competent and kind. You have a lot of choices about the course that you can take (Cambridge, Business English, Speaking dynamic,etc..) There is a room for everyone and a kitchen.

The thing that I like the most is that there is a library where you can borrow a range of books and DVD's in English. Furtermore, there is John who helps you a lot about everything.

In ILSC you can meet a lot of different people. A good point is that the teachers are native speakers, so you learn a lot. Moreover, they are always available for helping you and not only during the class but after too.

I would love to come back if I have the opportunity.

Last year, I was in another language school but in Germany, so I think I have some experience with language schools. In my opinion, ILSC is more than a language school, it is a real family. Teachers really take care of you, they help you at anytimes. I said the teachers but I mean everybody in the staff.

I really appreciated that. At the beginning, that was difficult for me (being in another country, the jetlag,...) but I found someone who helped me and heard me.

Host family
Host family accommodation is an unbeatable option to discover your destination from the inside. The families who receive foreign students have been chosen by our partner school for their friendliness and hospitality, so you’re in for a warm “Aussie” welcome. You will be staying in a single room and sharing the bathroom and common areas with the other family members. Staying with a host family provides an opportunity to practise English as you learn it! You will receive half board accommodation and take advantage of this opportunity to immerse yourself fully in the daily life of Brisbane’s residents.

Student One shared apartments (min. stay 4 weeks, ages 18+)
Fancy staying in the world’s tallest student residence? Enjoy a great mix of independence and opportunities to socialise in these shared apartments. You’ll stay in a lockable private room with free bed linen, a desk, chair and shelves. Bathrooms will be shared with 1-2 other flatmates, and you’ll also share a nice kitchen and living area with a flat-screen TV. Air conditioning and free Wi-Fi complete the apartment amenities, and the building also has its own gym and outdoor BBQ area! The best part is… you can walk to school in less than 5 minutes!

The activities programme offered by our partner language school in Brisbane is full of interesting adventures but its originality resides in the interactivity of its extracurricular workshops. Indeed, the school organises relaxing workshops to help students improve their pronunciation, their knowledge of Aussie words and their vocabulary through music, and also runs a newspaper club, etc. Workshops are the perfect way to make learning fun! You will also have the opportunity to go bowling, join your new friends from the four corners of the world for “Happy Hour” or attend a conference given by an expert marine. At weekends, you will have the chance to go on a cruise, go on an excursion to Stradbroke Island, to Byron Bay or explore the city of Brisbane under the guidance of local guides who will be happy to show you their favourite spots. Cherry on the cake: whale watching - an incredible experience!
