This friendly and convivial school is ideally located in the town centre, just steps from the Maritime Museum, the station, the city library and close to a beautiful Victorian garden. This central location is served by many bus routes and offers students many pubs and shops close-by.
The school is characterized by a great nationality mix: more than 40 nationalities from the 5 continents are represented to provide a truly international environment.
The highly qualified teaching staff is attentive to the needs of each student and offers them courses adapted to their expectations. The school has 7 classrooms in a large historical building in Aberdeen’s main street. After the English classes, the students have access to a computer lab with internet-ready computers, books and magazines. In the large student lounge, students can use the Wi-Fi connection free of charge and have lunch, unless they would prefer to eat in one of the numerous surrounding cafés and restaurants.

IH, Aberdeen
Duration: 6 weeks

ESL proposed many different destinations, but in the end I chose Scotland. First of all, because Scots are much nicer and open than their neighbours. Then, because Scotland offers fabulous landscapes and sites all over the territory: beautiful cities, castles, breweries, the Cairngrom national park in the middle of the Highlands… Aberdeen is a great university town, located in the north of Scotland. The city is pretty small and easily accessible; everything you need is close-by and there are many attractions in proximity. Also, there are not many people who speak my language. I love the beautiful streets, the granite buildings, the beaches…

Teachers are adorable, super nice and always helpful. Classes are dynamic and encourage students to participate. Students are open and happy to meet new people. The school atmosphere in general is great. I think that the teaching method is very good, as it makes you feel confortable, make progress and improve your pronunciation very quickly, as well as the speaking and listening skills. I highly recommend this school!

IH, Aberdeen
Duration: 4 weeks

During my month in IH Aberdeen, not only had I the opportunity to improve my English, but also to enjoy every single day of my stay there. Indeed, the school staff is really welcoming and willing to help, and the school is perfectly located (on the main street of the city). Moreover, the surrounding areas of Aberdeen offer amazing landscapes and the other parts of the country are within reach in a few hours. I recommend the school to anyone wishing to learn English in a friendly atmosphere, and of course, in an amazing country.
