Getting your visa for an English course in Sydney
You might be able to take short English language courses (under three months) on a Visitor visa, but most courses require a Student visa (subclass 500). The Student visa needs a Confirmation of Enrolment, proof of funds and OSHC health insurance. You’ll also need to meet health, character, and genuine-student requirements. The visa generally covers the full course duration, plus a short additional stay.
