At 2,000,000 square km Mexico is a big place. A huge place, actually, with a huge amount to offer visitors. Whether in the tumultuous metropolis of Mexico City or the dusty colonial towns where stories of Zapata and Pancho Villa live on, you’ll get a genuine welcome from some of the world’s most friendly and laidback people. What’s more, great food, culture and breathtaking historical sites dating back to the Aztecs span the country. Mexico is simply astonishing.
If you want to relax on the beach or dip in warm, turquoise waters, you’re really spoilt for choice along nearly 10,000km of coastline. Playa del Carmen on the Caribbean coast is an obvious standout destination, where you can still grasp that elusive mix of tranquillity and energy. But you really can’t go too far wrong along the coast; within a day’s travel you will find dozens of blissful hideaways.
If you like to party until the sun comes up, you will be in good company throughout Mexico. In Mexico City, hip young things keep partying throughout the night in wild nightclubs, after hitting the city’s vibrant restaurant and bar scene. On the coast, visitors from all over the world come together to “go loco” in Acapulco, Cancún, Puerto Vallarta and other full-on resort towns. In Puerto Vallarta especially, Tequila is never far away, as the town which gives the drink its name is a popular day trip.
Mexico is big, it's beautiful and, above all, it's great fun.
