Study amongst the palm trees and the relaxing sea breeze of the nearby Pacific Ocean on a modern American university campus (University of Irvine California). Irvine is one of the safest cities in the USA, it is located just an hour from central Los Angeles and enjoys 281 sunny days per year — making it the perfect base to experience California life. The state-of-the-art campus features a variety of green spaces, including its own park and botanical garden. Students will also enjoy the onsite multi-sport facilities available. Classrooms are equipped with traditional whiteboards and projectors — each class can accommodate up to 15 students. Between classes, the school organises plenty of activities for students, including multiple sports, quizzes, scavenger hunts, and more!

Our partner school organises daily activities included in the programme, ranging from karaoke, quizzes, and trivia nights, to sports on the campus’ top-quality facilities, including a pool and multi-sports facilities. There is also a wide variety of free extra activities organised in the park of the campus. Lastly, every weekend there is an excursion to one of many nearby attractions, ranging from the Beverly Hills to Santa Monica Beach.
COURSE PLUS WATERSPORTS
Description The glorious California sun and the refreshing waters of the Pacific Ocean: the amazing location of our partner school is the perfect space for water sports! Get ready to embrace the famous California beach culture in this unique course that blends water sports with immersive English classes. Whether you want to surf the waves, or leisurely paddle on the shore — this course offers you the perfect break from your studies.
Programme This programme consists of daily English lessons alongside two water sports sessions per week. On Thursdays, you’ll learn surfing, an iconic staple of California culture and on Fridays you’ll learn Stand Up Paddling, a leisurely way to explore the ocean.
Materials Students should bring a swimsuit, towel, and sun cream.
Location The activities will be held in either Newport or Huntington Beach.
Number of students per group There will be a minimum of eight students per group and a maximum of 32.
Timing Thursday and Friday afternoons, 14:00 – 17:00 (Including travel time)
COURSE PLUS EXCLUSIVE TOURS:
Description Some of California’s most impressive and beautiful creatures live not in its cities but in its waters! The Pacific Ocean is home to plentiful marine mammals, from dolphins and pilot whales to humpback whales and orcas — this course is your way to see them for yourself! Through this unique programme, you will see these amazing animals both in the famous Seaworld water park and in their natural habitat on a whale-watching tour.
Programme This programme consists of daily language courses alongside two excursions that will expose students to the marine life of their new home. One of your excursions will be to SeaWorld, the famous water park which features amazing interactive shows featuring dolphins, sea lions, and orcas. Later on, take an exhilarating trip to the Pacific to watch whales breaching and dolphins frolicking in their natural environment.

COURSE PLUS AMUSEMENT PARK: UNIVERSAL STUDIOS
Description Universal Studios blends the fun excitement of an American amusement park, with the unique filmmaking culture of Los Angeles. This programme is your opportunity to peek “behind the curtain” of Hollywood on a tour of a real film set, followed by the exciting rides and attractions that attract tourists from all over the world. Our partner school will handle all of the tickets and transportation, so all you have to do is sit back, and enjoy the time of your life!
Programme This programme consists of daily language courses alongside an excursion to Universal Studios on the weekend. Your excursion to Universal Studios will consist of a tour of a fully-functioning movie studio, which will teach you how some of your favourite films and TV shows are made. After your tour, you’ll be taken around the amusement park to ride the rollercoasters and watch the shows that this amazing park has to offer.

Description Take a hassle-free trip to the happiest place on earth, during your stay in California. Spend an unforgettable day meeting the iconic characters and sampling the thrilling rides of Disneyland! Our staff have planned your trip to maximise your time in this amazing park, with transport to and from the park being covered by school staff.
Programme The trip will be organised for Tuesday and will span throughout the day. All travel and entry tickets will be provided by the school
