EC, Bristol
Duration: 4 weeks

ESL staff carefully assisted me in the choice of a language school in England and was also available to help during my stay. Since the beginning, I really wanted to improve my Business English skills; this is why ESL recommended ESL Bristol. I followed the recommendation and I spent 4 fabulous weeks in that beautiful city. Thanks to interactive teaching methods, modern facilities and excellent teachers, my English skills improved a lot and very quickly. The best thing was that I met so many students from all over the world! I was very happy with my accommodation; I stayed with a lovely and welcoming host family. They made me feel part of the family for 4 weeks. My language stay in Bristol was very interesting because EC teams organized plenty of excursions; I visited Bristol, Oxford, Cardiff and Bath. No time to get bored! Bristol is a fantastic city with a very British charm, amazing pubs, a buzzing nightlife and warm inhabitants. A language stay in Bristol was the perfect choice for me; not only I improved my English skills, but I also made new friends and went home with beautiful memories.

EC, Bristol

Initially, I was going to stay until early December, but since the experience has been so good, I decided to extend it until the Christmas holidays. I’m really happy with the school and with the attained results. This is the first time that I study English abroad and to be honest I’m very happy, because my English level has improved a lot. What has helped me the most is being with people from different countries. In Bristol there are Spanish, but I avoid interacting with them, as I have pretty clear objectives. Spending a lot of time with students from other countries has helped me to improve my English level, especially spending time with students of upper levels than mine. I’m very happy with the activities offered by the school, as the students don’t have time to get bored. Another key factor is the accommodation. I’m living at the Favell House residence, which is located in the center and two minutes' walk from the school.

My language stay in Bristol was one of the best experiences in my life. I took a course at EC and I improved my English a lot, thanks to friendly and experienced teachers. I met many people coming from different countries and all of them were really nice. I stayed in a host family; my hosts were very nice and caring, and they made me feel at home. This trip was very enriching, on both a personal and educational level. I would like to thank ESL for their help and efficiency when I had problems or doubts. I recommend them with no hesitation. My trip to Bristol will stay in my memory forever. I’ll always have Bristol!

Host family
Take full advantage of your language course in England. Staying in a single room (or twin for students travelling together), you will receive half-board and share your meals with your hosts – the ideal way to practice your language skills! If you choose the superior option, you'll also have a private bathroom. Host families are located about 15-50 minutes from school by public transport or on foot.

NOTE: It is compulsory for students under 18 to book homestay accommodation and airport transfers (if arriving or leaving between 20:00 and 8:00), and provide a parental consent form.

Print Hall residence

In this university town, you will enjoy an authentic British experience alongside other international students. You can start by exploring Bristol’s historic centre and its bustling Harbourside, which overflows with museums, exhibitions, clubs and coffee shops and hosts the famous Bristol Harbour festival each year. Then cross the Clifton Suspension Bridge, the symbol of Bristol, to get a wonderful view over Avon Gorge, and visit the Bristol Zoo to discover all kinds of species. On the edge of Bristol, the impressive mansion of Ashton Court Estate is also worth visiting if you are keen on history, and it's also the site of the breathtaking annual Bristol Balloon fiesta. And if you need a change of scenery, just organise a little trip amongst friends to Bath to take advantage of its thermal baths, to Stonehenge, to admire megalithic monuments, or to Cardiff in Wales!
