During the week, the school offers many activities. Enjoy San Sebastián attractions, scavenger hunts, chocolate tastings, picnics on an island, museum visits, excursions to nearby cities and lots of sport! You will be offered beach activities, an introduction to Basque Pelota, martial arts, surfing and dance classes to learn salsa or merengue. On Saturdays, the full-day excursion will take you to discover Spanish destinations like Bilbao, Pamplona, Guernica and Vitoria or French cities like Biarritz or St Jean de Luz. These group excursions contribute to creating a fun atmosphere and strong bonds between the participants from all over the world. This is a chance to practise Spanish in varied contexts!

COURSE PLUS COOKING Cooking is a cornerstone of Basque culture – it’s more than just an activity, it’s an experience! This programme is your chance to immerse yourself in this uniquely Basque experience and take advantage of the world-class culinary culture of this region while improving your Spanish in a natural setting!

Programme This programme includes daily language lessons alongside one 4 hours cooking lesson per week. This lesson will cover a full guided tour of the cooking facilities and an explanation of the history of the region, a cooking class of Basque dishes, and a group dinner.

Level required Any. However, students will need to notify the school about any food restrictions at least one week in advance.

Materials All materials will be provided.

COURSE PLUS SURFING Facing the wavey Atlantic Ocean – San Sebastian is famed for its trendy urban surfing spots. In this programme, you can finish your daily language courses and hit the waves in two separate surfing lessons that will teach you the fundamentals of this thrilling sport.

Programme This programme includes daily language lessons alongside two 90-minute surfing lessons per week. Lessons will cover the basics of technique and theory before practising your new knowledge in the waves!

Level required Beginner

Materials Students should bring a swimsuit and towels.

PLUS HORSE RIDING

Description Discover the Basque Country in a truly unique way! Combine your language learning with the joy of horse riding through the stunning hills, forests, and rivers surrounding San Sebastián. This programme offers a balance of cultural immersion, outdoor adventure, and language progress — a perfect experience for those seeking both learning and leisure in one unforgettable course.

Details of the Programme This programme combines daily language lessons with two 120-minute horse-riding sessions per week. Students will first learn the fundamentals of horse-riding technique and theory before venturing into the beautiful Basque countryside to explore its hills and natural landscapes on horseback. The experience allows participants to connect with the rural culture of the Basque Country while improving their language skills and enjoying a fun, healthy activity.

Level Required Any level (no prior horse-riding or language experience required).

Materials Students should bring comfortable sportswear that covers legs and shoulders. Riding equipment will be provided.
