The Language Academy (TLA)

Staying with a host family is the perfect option for students who want to gain full English immersion both inside and outside the classroom. Each host family is no more than 10 miles from the school and will have between one to six students in the home at a given time. You will have the choice of either catering for yourself, or a half board of breakfast and dinner prepared by your host. Each home has free WIFI and linen, but students should bring their own beach towel. There are laundry facilities available for students to use for free.

This accommodation option is ideal for students who value privacy, independence, and access to plenty of amenities – all just 20 minutes from class by public transport. Students will have the choice of a studio apartment with a kitchenette or an entire single apartment with a separate kitchen and living room. Both room types include a bed, dresser, closet, desk, chair, and private bathroom. Linen and towels are provided by the residence and can be washed for a fee using the onsite facilities. There is a fully equipped kitchen, which students will need to use to cater for themselves. Students are encouraged to keep their own space clean, but there is a cleaning service three times a week. Students can take advantage of the beautiful Florida sunshine in the onsite pool and barbeque area in addition to the nearby beach.
