Living with locals is a fantastic way to really immerse yourself in the language and the American way of life! These local hosts typically live around 35-55 minutes away from the school on public transport and can include working families, couples, single or retired people.

You’ll stay in a comfy single room and will enjoy half board, so you won’t have to worry too much about your meals!

Fisher HI residence is uniquely located in the center of Boston, surrounded by facilities and just 10 minutes’ walk from the class. Students will be placed in a twin room, each with a wardrobe, en suite bathroom, WIFI, desk and chair. Students have access to a fully stocked kitchen but will also have the option of half-board meals from Fisher College Cafeteria, just 15-20 mins walk away. The residence will provide linen and towels which can be washed for a fee by the student using the onsite facilities.  The communal spaces will be cleaned daily. Students can socialize with their new friends in a large selection of airconditioned shared facilities including a game room and lounge.  A live-in resident assistant and the front desk will be on-hand 24/7 for students’ wellbeing.

Fisher college residence is the ideal location for students to enjoy the classic American dorm experience during their summer in the USA – either in the same building as the campus or directly adjacent. Students will have the choice between a single, twin, or triple room – all of which include a desk and chair, WIFI and storage space. Linen and towels will be provided but will need to be cleaned by the student using the on-site laundry facilities. Students will have the option to either cater for themselves or receive a half-board of breakfast and lunch. The residence will clean communal areas but students will be responsible for keeping their rooms clean. Students will be able to take advantage of the social atmosphere and make friends in the common areas.
