All of our accommodation options are rigorously screened to ensure you know exactly what you’re getting when you make the choice to book your program.
Leisure
We believe that the best time for younger learners to acquire language skills is when they’re out and about, and our partner school will ensure that students are never in one place for too long! Throughout the programme, there are activities organised every day: in the morning, afternoon, and evening, which can take place both in the school’s huge campus or throughout the country! Activities can include fun events to help students stay active and make friends (e.g. parties, beach BBQs, inhouse games, bowling, and more) or cultural events to help students explore (e.g. trips to Esplora Science Centre, Birgu, Valetta, local beaches, and more). The school also offers a variety of optional activities at an extra cost for students who want to explore everything Malta has to offer. These optional activities include scuba diving, trips to Gozo, and a sports adventure day. Free time is limited and all activities will be fully supervised, ensuring students have a safe experience on each activity.
PLUS courses:
Diving
PADI Open Water Description Dip your toes into the watery world of scuba diving and explore the treasures that hide in the waters of Malta by getting your PADI Open Water scuba diving certificate while studying English. PADI is the worldwide authority for scuba diving and once you have your Open Water Certificate, you’ll be able to dive anywhere in the world! Get ready to explore a whole new world under the waves and discover a new life-long hobby alongside your new language skills.
Programme This programme consists of daily language lessons alongside the full PADI Open Water course. The diving course consists of either three or five days of tuition—each incorporating five confined water dives to learn basic scuba skills and four open water dives to use your skills and explore! Before arrival you’ll need to complete the theory course, which consists of five sections culminating in a final exam—it can take 10 hours or more to complete, so please make sure to start this at least 3 weeks before arrival. Upon completion, you’ll receive a certificate of completion and your PADI license that will allow you to dive internationally.
Level required Any level is accepted, however, students should be aged 10 or over, fully healthy and have a reasonable fitness level to complete the dives.
Materials Students should bring their swimsuits and towels.
Location Triq Dragunara or San Ġiljan (up to 20 minutes from school or accommodation).
Number of students per group The number of students will depend on the week.
PADI Advanced Description If you’ve already started your diving journey, this course is the perfect way to continue the adventure and learn advanced skills to become the diver you want to be! The advanced course can be customised towards a variety of specialities, including Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Navigation, Deep Wreck, Fish ID, Enriched Air, and more! Take the ultimate step in your diving life while learning English in sunny Malta.
Programme
This programme consists of daily language lessons alongside either two full days of five dives or five individual sessions. The dives will run through advanced diving knowledge that can be customised to your preferences which will be discussed before the course. Each session will include a pre-brief and de-brief to ensure that you fully understand the tuition. Please note that you will need to complete the theory aspect of the course before arrival, so please make sure to book at least three weeks before arrival. Unlike the open water course, the theory aspect does not include a final exam, but you’ll need to complete a knowledge review after each chapter on your chosen dives.
Level required Students will need to be 12+ years old and will require a valid PADI Open Water certification or equivalent certificate. You should also be healthy and have a reasonable fitness level to complete the dives.
Materials Students will need to bring a swimsuit and their own towels.
Location Triq Dragunara or San Ġiljan (up to 20 minutes from school or accommodation).
Number of students per group The number of students will depend on the week.
