Our large course centre is the ideal place for you to learn English in Torquay and enjoy the bright, spacious classrooms with interactive whiteboards. You will be studying in a group of a maximum of 17 international students, with four 45-minute lessons per day, given by experienced and motivated teachers. The school features a large garden and an outdoor terrace for you to enjoy with your new friends. Wi-Fi is of course available. Lunch is served at the school (packed lunch from hosts during weekends).For students under 16 years old, the maximum booking duration is four weeks.

Host family

esl host family torquay summer course

A friendly and welcoming host family, carefully selected by our partner school, invites you to share their daily life in a twin room with shared bathroom. Each home is, on average, 40 minutes on foot or by bus from the school (maximum travel time: approximately 60 minutes). During breakfast and dinner with the family, you will have the opportunity to put into practice what you learn in your junior English classes in Torquay. Bed linen and towels are provided and changed once a week. The family does laundry at no extra cost.

Leisure

The school’s activity program is an important and integrated part of your junior English course in Torquay. Together with staff members and the other students from all over the world you will have no time to get bored. Every week there is one full day and one half day excursion to exciting places like Exeter, Dartmouth Castle or Dartmoor National Park. Four daytime and two evening monitored activities a week are also programmed, where you can check out the aquatic life at the zoo and aquarium or enjoy a BBQ evening – and all while making effortless progress in English!
