Staying with a Sardinian family has the advantage of offering you a great insight into local culture. You will appreciate the legendary hospitality of the Sardinian people, as well as their capacity to make you feel right at home. Staying in a single bedroom, you will share the communal areas with your hosts and be able to use the kitchen to prepare your meals. Families live less that 30 minutes’ walk to the school on average.
If you prefer to be more independent, the school gives you the option to stay in a single room in one of its apartments. It is fully equipped with a shared bathroom and a communal kitchen – meals are not included – where you can spend time with other students. The apartment is only a 20 -25 minutes walk from the school.
Our partner school offers a wide choice of other accommodation options, whether in hostels or quality hotels. Contact us for further information.
You are in Sardinia, an island with thousands of options to exercise, load up on culture and entertain yourself. The school offers four free activities per week (movie nights, city outings, etc.) as well as guided tours of historical sites, including the Nuragic monuments of Palmavera and Torralba, the necropolis of Anghelu Ruju, the prehistoric sanctuary of Monte d’Accordi and the roman city of Turris Lybissonis. Get on board a minibus or a jeep and explore the Gennargentu and Limbara mountains. Visit the Supramonthe and beautiful Gorroppu Gorge, the deepest in Europe. Sports lovers can also rent bikes to discover the superb surroundings of Alghero. If you would like some peace and quiet, spot a quiet bay on the sumptuous coastline and dip into the lukewarm water or bask in the generous Mediterranean sunshine!
