En general la experiencia ha estado genial. La escuela es fantástica, tanto los profesores como el equipo están muy pendientes de todo. La residencia en la que me alojé era bastante cutre y estaba a 16km de la escuela (tenía que coger dos autobuses y un tranvía). La mayoría de los estudiantes se quedan con familias de acogida por lo que están más cerca de la escuela y muchos se volvían juntos cuando salíamos. Allí en Brest es mucho mejor moverse en autobús (hay una aplicación que te dice los autobuses que tienes que coger para ir al destino que quieras), incluso para ir al aeropuerto; ya que al taxi había que llamarlo y era bastante caro. La escuela está un poco lejos de la ciudad, y sobre todo de la residencia universitaria pero las vistas que tiene son magníficas. Solo he estado dos semanas, pero creo que los estudiantes avanzan muy rápido en su aprendizaje de la lengua y son capaces de mantener una conversación al cabo de muy poco tiempo. La habitación es pequeña, el suelo del baño es el mismo para la bañera el w.c. y para el lavabo; cuando abría el grifo (era el mismo para el lavabo y para la ducha) un poco más fuerte caía agua de la ducha. No ofrecían ni toallas, ni papel higiénico ni productos de limpieza. Las actividades y excursiones fueron muy divertidas y la animadora estaba pendiente de todos los estudiantes.

La Escuela es nueva, muy acogedora y en un entorno precioso. Mi curso no ha estado mal pero es mejorable: el hecho de tener en la misma clase un grupo de chavales que vienen todos del mismo colegio no es buena idea y así se lo dije en la escuela. Con respecto a las profesoras, la primera semana tuvimos una profesora muy buena, pero estricta, por lo que la mayoría de chavales pidió el cambio y la 2ª semana tuvimos otra profesora que exigía menos, con lo cual el aprendizaje fue menor.Con respecto a la familia, ¡¡¡¡GENIAL!!!! fue fantástica, además coincidí con otra alumna de edad parecida a la mía, por lo que la estancia en familia fue fantástica. Además en la escuela comíamos por un precio bastante asequible. La relación calidad- precio es muy buena considerando los servicios que ofrece la escuela y la disponibilidad del personal. Son todos muy amables. En cuanto a la composición del grupo-clase se podría mejorar, y en cuanto al nivel del alumnado también: deberia ser el profesor el que proponga un cambio, y no el propio alumno. Prefiero profesores más exigentes. Mi familia genial. Si volviera a la misma escuela y ciudad, por supuesto que les eligiría. Fueron a recogerme al aeropuerto y el último día me acercaron al aeropuerto. Para despedirme, Beatrice hizo tortilla de patatas para todos....., siempre pendiente de lo que nos gustaba...en fin,...… me despedí de ellos llorando, como si fuera una adolescente en su primera estancia fuera de casa. SIEMPRE LES AGRADECERÉ SU CARIÑO Y GENTILEZA, y a vosotros( Marta Bernal y Mª del Angel Soto) mi enhorabuena y agradecimiento infinito por gestionarme esta familia. No puedo valorar toda la oferta porque solo estuve 2 semanas. Las excursiones en las que participé me gustaron y las monitoras encantadoras ; lo mismo que las responsables de la acogida e información Mi experiencia ha sido fantástica, pero considero que para ser referencia y poder aconsejar a otras personas, sería necesario un curso o estancia más larga.Estoy de acuerdo en que Marta o Mª del Angel puedan comentar a otros alumnos cómo gestionaron mi estancia. Gracias por todo. Espero vuestras propuestas para el curso del próximo verano y/o vacaciones de semana santa, o las propuestas que considereis que me puedan interesar.Cordiales saludos,

Host family
Totally immersed in the French language, you are going to discover Breton traditions within a welcoming host family that has been carefully selected by CIEL. You will have many opportunities to practice the French language: during the meals, the excursions with your hosts, during the evenings spent in the living room… You will improve your communication skills on a daily basis without even being aware of it! You will be accommodated in a single room, with half board, except on the weekend (full board).

University residence
For those who want to be in a student atmosphere, Brest’s CIEL language school can book a room in the student residence of the University of Brest campus, located 10 minutes away from the city centre and 20 minutes away from the train station by bus. There, you will have a small single room with private bathroom and you will share the laundry room with the other students. The residence also has a study room and a TV lounge where you will be able to meet other French and foreign students. You will be able to have your meals in the university restaurant (closed in July and August and use the kitchenettes if you have your own kitchenware. Prices on request.

The university residence is located on the Brest campus, 3 km from the town centre and 10 km from CIEL Bretagne. During summer season (July-August), a special bus leaves the university residence at 8:10 and arrives at CIEL Bretagne at about 8:45 (normal ticket price). During low season, the journey takes about 45 minutes (you'll need to take 2 buses).
