Ich hatte eine unglaublich schöne Zeit bei meiner Gastfamilie. ESL konnte mir stehts per Mail und Telefon alle Fragen vor und während dem Aufenthalt beantworten. Meine Gastfamilie war sehr offen und hat mich sofort in ihr Familienleben eingeschlossen. Man kann sehr viel Unternehmen an der Gold Coast, Australien. Die Öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel sind günstig und man hat immer gute Verbindungen. Die Browns Schule ab 18 Jahren war sehr gut. Unsere Lehrer boten einen abwechslungsreichen und sehr lehrreichen Unterricht. Man lernt auch sehr einfach neue Freunde in der Schule und in der Stadt kennen. Es hatte keine anderen Schweizer dort oder Deutschsprechende, als ich dort war, was sehr gut war. Die Browns Schule hatte einen sehr guten Nationalitäten-Mix für mich als Europäerin. Die Lehrer waren immer freundlich und professionell. Die Schule hat viele Aktivitäten angeboten und man konnte direkt in der Schule seine Reise günstiger planen, als in Reisebüros. Die Schule ist sehr gut gelegen, man erreicht sie in wenigen Gehminuten von der Tramstation. Die Schule liegt in der Nähe von Australia Fair, ein riesen Shopping Center, das viele Möglichkeiten bietet, sich zu unterhalten oder einkaufen zu gehen. Man kann auch mit dem Auto direkt neben der Schule parken. Wir hatten einen super Nationalitäten-Mix und haben uns trotz den verschiedenen Kulturen sehr gut verstanden und täglich miteinander Exkursionen unternommen.

L’Australie est un magnifique pays ! Gold Coast est davantage un endroit pour profiter de la plage et des soirées entre amis, mais reste tout de même une magnifique ville ! The school is simply great! It is centrally located and just a 10-minute bus ride away from Surfers Paradise. The teachers are fantastic and, apart from teaching us the language, they bring us closer to Australian culture. Here everybody makes sure we feel comfortable. Besides, we can go online whenever we want. In the school, you can only speak English. At first, it’s hard to get used to it, but you soon manage to make friends from other countries. The Gold Coast is also fabulous; there are tons of beautiful beaches, which can be easily reached by bus. You can also go on a weekend trip to Brisbane of Fraser Island. Sidney and Melbourne are also quite close by plane.

All the families are chosen with care by our partner school and are located about 40 minutes from the language school building. You'll have a single room with half-board (full-board at the weekend). If you wish to share accommodation with other students from the school, opt for the luxurious shared apartments. Ideally located just 2 minutes from the school and 10 minutes’ walk from the surfing beaches, the fully furnished apartments each have two double rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room. All cooking utensils and linens are provided. You'll have a splendid view over the town and the ocean from the balcony, and you'll be able to use the building’s facilities, including a swimming pool, gym and BBQ equipment.
