Our partner language school enjoys a central location in Calgary, close to Stampede Park and 17th Avenue, with its numerous pubs and shops. You'll learn English in bright and spacious classrooms and make use of the school's large book and DVD library, media room, computer lab and study room for your individual study. Additionally, a private computer conference room is available to students wishing to speak directly to the school’s counselors in their native language. During breaks, you'll be able to relax and socialise with the other international participants in the student lounge with table football and outdoor patio. There is also a kitchen and a cafeteria on site. After class, be sure to visit the chocolate factory located opposite the school: tours are free!

Highlight: Chicken Wings Day Ich kam etwas spät.

Canada is very beautiful!!! There are a lot of very nice landscapes! You can always discover new things!!! The people are all very kind as well. One of my best experiences in Calgary was my trip to Lake Louise and Banff with Cédric! The nature was beautiful! Meet new people at the school is also a very good experience!!! And having a “new family” is really interesting!!! The school is really good!!! All of the teachers are very nice and kind! We have a nice classroom and you can always use the computer! That’s perfect when I miss my family!

My language stay in Calgary was simply fantastic. The school was amazing: not too big, very international, with competent teachers. The director makes everyone feel confortable and does her best to turn the school into a second home, which is very important in this kind of experiences. The leisure activities are very cool and varied. My host family was very nice; they respected my private life and let me free to do whatever I wanted to do, within the rules. I really liked Calgary; it is a nice, American-style city, with a lot of green areas and amazing bars and clubs (go to Ranchman, I loved it!). I also recommend to rent a car and visit the Rockies, about 45-60 minutes away: in Banff, you will be able to ski and heliski, try a snowmobile, go hiking or to the thermal baths. The most impressive thing will be the huge space you will see around you. A Russian friend gave me this advice: go outside, meet Canadians and speak to them. Even if you don’t understand them in the beginning, do it, it’s really worth it. And I can confirm they are amazing.

Meeting people from all over the world, travelling, getting to know another culture, learning English… these are some of the thousands of positive things that I remember from my experience in Canada. My stay there was totally unforgettable. From the moment I first set foot in the country, I felt like I was home. I was living at a student house with two students from the school with whom I’ve kept up a good friendship. The OHC School makes you feel like one of them from day one. Daily activities to get to know the other students, high quality teachers, great facilities… Without a doubt, I can only say great things about my stay there. I would do it all over again a thousand times. Cheers.
