Do you think you've made progress?
« Oui, bien entendu.

Testimonials

I have wanted to study English in an English speaking country for years. In fact, I think immersion is the best way to learn a foreign language. I chose Auckland because I have been to New Zealand several times on holiday and I love this country. Firstly, there are always a lot of exciting and fun things to see. New Zealand is famous for its fantastic scenery and you can discover this country every weekend. Also, Auckland is a cosmopolitan city surrounded by water and volcanoes. Its harbour is beautiful; New Zealanders are very nice and relaxed. I also enjoyed my school NZLC located in Auckland near the harbour – what a beautiful place! I have improved my English lots. The courses were very interesting and the teachers are very helpful. I definitely recommend this school – it was a great experience for me!

NZLC, Auckland
Duration: 5 weeks

The past 5 weeks in Auckland have been an unforgettable experience, during which I managed to improve my English significantly and communicate with other people in a more fluent and easy way.

Teachers are competent and always very approachable, especially in case of problems. I felt so comfortable that sometimes I forgot I was at school. The school is well located and offers many different activities after class. I met students from different countries and cultures; we had fun together and today I can call them my friends.

New Zealand is perfect for people who are passionate about sports (rugby, football, basketball…) and nature. I had the chance to admire amazing landscapes! I lived close to the city centre, in a lovely family that took the time to show me their country and their lifestyle. I highly recommend this destination!

I just want to thank you. I have been in New Zealand for 4 weeks and this Friday was my last school day at NZLC. I enjoy every day here. The school is beautiful, I was able to improve my English from intermediate to upper intermediate and even advanced level! The host family you chose for me is certainly the best ever! I am very happy to have booked my stay through you. I am going to stay an extra 3-month in Auckland as from tomorrow on I have a landscape gardener job! Then I have three months left to travel… thanks a lot for your help! If ESL had not been as friendly and helpful during the first contact, who knows where I would be now? ☺Friendly greetings from New Zealand!

Host family
New Zealanders are known for their friendliness and hospitality. There are many advantages to staying with a host family, including of course the opportunity to constantly practise the language in everyday situations while learning about the Kiwi culture! The families provide breakfast and dinner, making this an attractive option financially. At weekends, full board is offered. Homestays are located between 45 and 60 minutes from the school by public transport.

Located 15 minutes’ walk from the language school, close to many restaurants, shops and cafés, the residence is fitted with a dining room, kitchenettes, an interior courtyard, coin-operated laundry facilities, a TV lounge and mini-library. You can also play pool, foosball or ping pong. Bathrooms are shared, bed linen is provided and weekly housekeeping is included. Other amenities available for a small fee, include Wi-Fi, internet-ready computers and the fitness club located in the same building.
