Leisure

During the activities, the group leaders will bring you to visit Malta. The island's Mediterranean climate guarantees you numerous and splendid seaside activities. You will be brought to fine sand beaches and a full day will be dedicated to an excursion, to the Blue Lagoon, for example. At "Malta Experience", you will see a multivisual display which will teach you things you didn't know before about the 6000 years of the fabulous history of this island. And you will still have free time left over to go shopping, go swimming, go sunbathing, or quite simply relax beside the swimming pool. At nightfall, a very dynamic nightlife begins. The school organises evening activities on the beach where you will be able to play volleyball, football or even enjoy a barbecue. The school will also offer large outdoor parties or discos (supervised by the school's staff) so that you can dance and have fun with the other students.

PLUS courses:

Diving

PADI Open Water Description Dip your toes into the watery world of scuba diving and explore the treasures that hide in the waters of Malta by getting your PADI Open Water scuba diving certificate while studying English. PADI is the worldwide authority for scuba diving and once you have your Open Water Certificate, you’ll be able to dive anywhere in the world! Get ready to explore a whole new world under the waves and discover a new life-long hobby alongside your new language skills.

Programme This programme consists of daily language lessons alongside the full PADI Open Water course. The diving course consists of either three or five days of tuition—each incorporating five confined water dives to learn basic scuba skills and four open water dives to use your skills and explore! Before arrival you’ll need to complete the theory course, which consists of five sections culminating in a final exam—it can take 10 hours or more to complete, so please make sure to start this at least 3 weeks before arrival. Upon completion, you’ll receive a certificate of completion and your PADI license that will allow you to dive internationally.

Level required Any level is accepted, however, students should be aged 10 or over, fully healthy and have a reasonable fitness level to complete the dives.

Materials Students should bring their swimsuits and towels.

Location Triq Dragunara or San Ġiljan (up to 20 minutes from school or accommodation).

Number of students per group The number of students will depend on the week.

PADI Advanced Description If you’ve already started your diving journey, this course is the perfect way to continue the adventure and learn advanced skills to become the diver you want to be! The advanced course can be customised towards a variety of specialities, including Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Navigation, Deep Wreck, Fish ID, Enriched Air, and more! Take the ultimate step in your diving life while learning English in sunny Malta.

Programme

This programme consists of daily language lessons alongside either two full days of five dives or five individual sessions. The dives will run through advanced diving knowledge that can be customised to your preferences which will be discussed before the course. Each session will include a pre-brief and de-brief to ensure that you fully understand the tuition. Please note that you will need to complete the theory aspect of the course before arrival, so please make sure to book at least three weeks before arrival. Unlike the open water course, the theory aspect does not include a final exam, but you’ll need to complete a knowledge review after each chapter on your chosen dives.

Level required Students will need to be 12+ years old and will require a valid PADI Open Water certification or equivalent certificate. You should also be healthy and have a reasonable fitness level to complete the dives.

Materials Students will need to bring a swimsuit and their own towels.

Location Triq Dragunara or San Ġiljan (up to 20 minutes from school or accommodation).
