Expanish Young Adults (16-20)

With sunny days, a vibrant student culture, and more amazing restaurants than you could try in a lifetime, Madrid is the perfect city for young international students. Our award-winning partner has 18 years of experience and offers a boutique experience in the upscale Salamanca neighbourhood, around 20 minutes from the centre. The campus has a mix of international students of various ages and consists of 11 fully-equipped classrooms. Each classroom is dedicated to small classes of 12 students and is equipped with a traditional whiteboard and Wi-Fi. Between classes, students can socialise in the common room and use the available dictionaries and literature books to improve their Spanish. There is one activity coordinator per 15 students onsite to ensure that each student is enjoying their time abroad and their activity programme is running smoothly.

Host Family

ESL-host-family-accommodation-2

If you're looking for a true Spanish immersion experience in Madrid, there's no better option than staying with a host family. You'll stay in a shared or single room in the family's home. Bed linens and towels are included and changed weekly, and you'll also have access to the washing machine (just ask your host family for assistance with laundry). This option includes half-board, so you can practice chatting in Spanish with your family during mealtimes with authentic, homemade Spanish cuisine. Host families are located a maximum of a 30-minute journey by public transport from the school. Please note that students aged 16-17 must book the host family option, as residence accommodation is only available for students aged 18 and over.

Leisure

Madrid is a vibrant city filled with amazing culture and plenty of fun to be had, which your school is happy to provide! Your programme includes four afternoon and evening cultural and social activities per week, exclusively for Young Adults participants, such as guided tours of Madrid's historic center and major landmarks, visits to world-class museums like the Prado and Reina Sofía, excursions to Parque del Retiro, Spanish cooking workshops, tapas tours, flamenco shows, shopping trips to popular districts, and sports and recreational activities. There are also evening events which provide opportunities for socialising in a structured yet fun environment. With classes finishing in the afternoon, you'll have plenty of free time to explore Madrid independently, shop in trendy neighborhoods, relax in cafés, practice your Spanish with locals, or simply soak up the Spanish lifestyle at your own pace – unlike traditional summer camps with packed schedules, this programme gives you the freedom and independence you're looking for while still providing support and structure.
