Our partner school boasts an awesome location in Recoleta, one of the most beautiful neighbourhoods in Buenos Aires. The school also enjoys unique premises as its 12 classrooms and several offices are set in a modern co-working space with an amazing rooftop!
Your Spanish lessons will take place in bright and spacious classrooms and you’ll find you’ll make swift progress thanks to your experienced, native-speaking teachers. Between classes, you can grab a snack or a cup of coffee and join your new international friends in the student lounge.
After lessons, walk to the famous Recoleta cemetery and the Alto Palermo
shopping centre, or jump on the subway (only 3 blocks away from the school) and explore everything Buenos Aires has to offer!

Expanish, Buenos Aires
Duration: 11 weeks

I spent 3 months meeting unique people, not only international students but also local Argentinians, called Portenos. I not only learned Spanish but I also had the opportunity to get close to the culture and history of Argentina and South America. Thanks to the Expanish school, I was able to visit magnificent places such as Mendoza, Montevideo, the Iguazu Falls, etc. Each excursion brings you outside the city of Buenos Aires and allows you to get to know various societies of this nation. The work atmosphere in the school was always pleasant and allowed me to progress at my own pace. If you are looking for an unforgettable experience, I warmly recommend Expanish and Buenos Aires!

Expanish is a very good place to expand your language knowledge and to meet new people. The teachers are very friendly and help you out a lot. I'm glad I decided to come to Buenos Aires and to be able to learn Spanish here!

Host family
By staying with a host family in Buenos Aires, you will make the most out of your language study stay and experience the authentic Porteño lifestyle. Speaking Spanish in a relaxed atmosphere encourages you to apply everything you have acquired in class while picking up everyday, colloquial language. You will stay in a single room and benefit from half-board. Host families typically live between 45 and 60 minutes from the school by public transport.

Please note that students ages 16-17 must book the host family option with airport transfers.

Shared apartment (from 18 years)
This accommodation option lets you share a furnished apartment with an Argentinean local host in Buenos Aires and may be shared with other international students as well: an ideal opportunity to make new friends. You will share the kitchen, bathroom and other common rooms. In the evenings, you will prepare your meals and share recipes with your flatmates. An apartment can accommodate between 2 and 8 people.

Choose from a multitude of activities organised by the school to give you a taste of Buenos Aires life. Most of the activities are free, while others have a small charge. Concerts, museum outings, wine tastings and football matches are popular options, as well as cooking classes, asados (deliciously meaty Argentinean barbecues), tango shows and photography classes. Regular dinners bring together teachers and students. Longer excursions to the famous Iguazu Falls or to towns like Mendoza (a glorious wine city at the foot of the Andes) are also on the agenda. Day trips include the Tigre Delta and Colonia, a charming town in neighbouring Uruguay which can be reached by a boat across the Rio Plata. You will soon find out why people come from all over the world to learn Spanish in Argentina’s enticing capital city.
