Study Italian in the heart of Bologna, on Via Castiglione, a stone's throw from the splendid central square of Piazza Maggiore and the famous Two Towers: Garisenda and Asinelli. The language school is housed in the magnificent 12th-century Tadeo Pepoli Palace (restored in the 15th century) and contains 10 air-conditioned classrooms. Between classes, students can relax in the large student lounge, chat with friends and make plans for a night out. In the afternoon, the school organises parties and typical Italian “aperitivi". Bologna is the ideal starting point to visit other cities in the north of Italy, such as Milan, Florence, Venice, Turin and many others.

Host family
Experience daily life with an Italian family. This is an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture of Bologna and put your language skills into practice in a warm, friendly atmosphere. Living around 20 minutes from the school, you will have your own bedroom and will be able to freely use the kitchen in your home away from home. Half board is available on request, though the school frequently organises cooking and tasting events in the evenings that you won’t want to miss out on!

Shared apartment
If you’re interested in living with locals or with other international students, the school offers a shared apartment. Students have their own bedrooms and share the common rooms and facilities (kitchen, bathroom). This is a sociable way to enjoy your stay in Italy and meet people from all over the world.

The school organises a daily programme of cultural and social activities in Bologna including tours of the city, its monuments, artwork and history. Dive into Italian culture, practise the language in an authentic context and really get to know your classmates. From the Carracci heritage to the contemporary art galleries, you can appreciate the city's ancient engineering alongside the latest designs from Ducati, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati. This is a superb Italian city, which is much less touristic than other similar Italian destinations. With 35 kilometres of shopping arcades including plenty of chic boutiques, shopaholics are especially well catered for. You will be spoilt for choice in the evenings, choosing from the many cinemas, bars and nightclubs of this festive university city with a student population of more than 60,000. And you will soon find out why this is Italy’s food capital!
