Frequently asked questions about our Course + Work experience programmes abroad

What language level do I need to have to apply for a job abroad?

You need to reach at least an intermediate level to qualify for a job placement. The more fluent you are, the more job opportunities you will have.

What industries can I find a paid job in?

This will depend on your language level, your skills, your availability, and the time of the year. There are plenty of job opportunities available to you: from entry-level positions in the tourism and leisure industries (hotels, restaurants, transport, bars and clubs, casinos…) to fruit picking and farm work in orchards or vineyards.

How long will the work experience last?

Courses can be tailored to your personal preference, however, the initial language course part of the programme is normally a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks. During this time, you will get your language skills on point before you start working, while you also work with your school to coordinate your placement. Most internships and volunteering experiences will not last longer than 12 weeks.
