All families selected by the school live around 15-25 minutes away from the language school building and offer you accommodation in a single room with half-board. This is perhaps the best way to make the most out of your stay as you will be completely immersed in the English culture and language.
These self-catering student apartments are located in the city centre and only 15 minutes on foot from the school! Your en-suite studio will allow you to enjoy a perfect balance between privacy and socialising, as the building itself offers great common areas such as an outdoor courtyard (with a barbeque area!) and a game room. You’ll also have access to an on-site gym so you can keep working out while you’re abroad. Laundry facilities and WiFi are also available.
The school organises a varied program of activities all year round, including cultural outings and excursions. You can visit, for example, Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, York, a beautiful example of a medieval town, Dunstanburgh and its 13th century castle, Alnwick castle the location of Hogwarts in the first Harry Potter movies, Bamburgh castle and Holy Island with their Viking connections or Durham and its cathedral, built by the Normans. For nature-lovers, The Lake District is a must-see. Some go as far as saying that it is one of Europe’s most magnificent regions. At the very least, it is the most famous national park in England.
