In the heart of the old town and a few minutes' walk from the old port, our partner school in Montreal offers the opportunity to learn English (and also French) in a lively and stimulating environment. It occupies the third floor of a historic building which has been superbly renovated. The course centre has 35 classrooms, each with a view of the outside, two multimedia rooms and a quiet study room. It also includes several common rooms and internet access in various areas of the school. Between the two cafeterias and the numerous restaurants and cafés close to the course centre, you'll be spoiled for choice. After classes, there are so many interesting things to explore around the city: enjoy yourself on St. Paul Street, famous for its shops and art galleries, visit one of the many museums in the city, shop along Ste. Catherine street, take a walk up beautiful Mont-Royal for an amazing view of the city or simply hang out in the trendy Plateau neighbourhood.

My holiday in Montreal was amazing!!! As far as I’m concerned, life in Montreal is incredible: it’s a city that never sleeps, a music heaven, perfect for young people and a town where anything is possible… my summer in Canada was unbelievable. The people I met, trips, teachers (funny and friendly), evenings, life in a family where ten other students were staying (a fantastic Erasmus-esque atmosphere!) all made saying goodbye difficult! Thanks for everything!!!

ILSC Education Group, Montreal
Duration: 4 weeks

Like other people, I took many different English courses: group or private lessons, with professional and non-professional organizations, for 1 or 2 hours every week. Not bad, I guess! But if you are looking for an efficient and quick result, you need something more: I chose a language stay in Montreal. In the heart of the old town, ILSC offers the ideal environment to study whist having fun. First of all, you will find a team of young and dynamic teachers who use all the best learning methods, a very helpful admin staff and a director who always leaves his door open. Then, the students: a surprising and rare cultural diversity! They come from all over the world: Europe, South America, Africa, Asia… And finally, Montreal: an open and multicultural city. In winter the streets are full of life despite the cold, the locals are warm and curious and don’t be surprised if you meet French people who decided to move there. You’ll understand once you’re there…

ILSC Education Group, Montreal
Duration: 3 weeks

My experience at ILSC Montreal was very rich! Everything started when I decide to use my three holiday weeks to learn French. Montreal is a cosmopolitan city, with many different cultures that have been living together for years. The distinctive mark of the city is the amount of open-air events and activities, as well as the fascinating history where you can literally loose yourself.

Staying in a host family made my experience very intense; my stay in Canada would have been different without that. The fact of being surrounded all the time by two languages is very interesting: French in the typical areas and small shops, and English in the international business districts.

The school is located between the business district and the touristic areas. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Since day 1, teachers were helpful and lessons were very interesting, fun and dynamic. There were students from all over the world. If you like languages, meeting international people and discovering interesting cities, a language stay in Montreal is a must!

Host family
Canadian families are known for their warm welcome and for making their guests feel right at home. Host families live in the city’s residential areas, which offer a great quality of life, but require using public transport to get to school. Students stay in single rooms and have half-board or full board provided. This option is ideal for immersing yourself in Canadian culture and practising English in a variety of everyday life situations. It's also an opportunity to make friends for life in Canada. For more flexibility, it's possible to book accommodation without meals included. In this case, you can still use the family's kitchen.
