In the island of Jersey, the network of host families is rather limited, which is why it is essential to book early, particularly during the high season. If you choose this accommodation option, you will experience total immersion in the English language as well as in the daily life of a family : this is the best way to make rapid progress! The family will share breakfast and dinner with you and will prepare a packed lunch for you to take to school.
Set in a charming house dating back to 1690, this residence is popular for its unique historical features, seaside views and prime location, at the heart of St Aubin. Just 10 minutes’ walk to the school, you will stay in a single room with a private bathroom and have a light, continental breakfast on site. For your meals, use the communal kitchen or enjoy a wide range of local pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The residence also offers a large granite dining room, a comfortable lounge and a sun room with a terrace opening onto St Aubin's Bay. Bed linen and towels are provided and changed during weekly housekeeping, and there are laundry facilities for pay on site.
For those who wish to be more independent and who can afford it, our partner school can offer several hotels. One of them is only 200 metres away from the course centre. Contact us, we will be happy to give you further details.
During the afternoons, after your lessons, the school organises 1-2 free activities per week plus 2 evenings out for dinner or drinks at an extra cost. You can also try out surfing or windsurfing, devote your time to football or hit some balls on the tennis court. In addition to cultural visits to museums, castles and the Neolithic burial sites and unforgettable coastal walks around the island, you can also enjoy some lovely excursions on the water to St Malo, Granville, Guernesey, Sark or Alderney. Nature and sea lovers will be enchanted by the charms of Jersey and the Channel Islands!
