One of the most experienced English schools in Dublin, our partner school was founded over thirty years ago! The course centre is located in the very heart of the city, on the same street as Dublin Castle and just in front of the legendary Temple Bar district. In two prestigious buildings, situated less than a minute's walk away from each other, the school houses 25 classrooms, an internet café, two computer rooms and two rooftop terraces with trees. Internet is accessible free of charge in the two buildings. The classrooms are equipped with modern facilities and a multimedia centre. A library and a room for listening to audio recordings are available for use. In the cafeteria, equipped with a plasma screen TV, you'll be able to eat, drink and chat with the other students from throughout the world.

CES, Dublin
Duration: 12 weeks

I chose Dublin because I had visited the city one weekend in the past and I loved it. And it’s quite different from usual destinations such as London or Brighton. I really like the classes. There are only 12 people per class, which is great as it allows working in groups. Teachers are great and encourage communication. At school, there aren’t many French speakers: a big plus, if you want to learn English! The school staff is very nice, relaxed and helpful. My flat is very close to the school; only a 10-minute walk! It’s perfect to go to school in the morning and to go out in the evening! Dubliners are super open, welcoming and warm; speaking with them and making new friends is very easy. And the atmosphere in pubs is the best! Dublin is the perfect destination to learn English and live an exceptional experience!

CES, Dublin
Duration: 4 weeks

When I decided to go on a language stay abroad, I had quite a few questions… lots of them, as a matter of fact! ESL answered all my queries and helped me make the best decision. The result couldn’t have been better: I had an incredible month and was hosted by a wonderful Irish family who treated me like one of their own. My experience at CES was also excellent, as I probably learnt more English than I had in the previous 2 years studying it in Spain. The teachers were very professional and I made good friends from all around the worlds. Together, we enjoyed the beautiful Irish landscapes, as well as Dublin’s amazing nightlife, with live music on every corner and in every pub at any moment of they day. At the pub, you can also enjoy traditional meals and the country’s favourite beverage, beer, while you discover Irish culture, traditions and – especially – its people… some of the nicest and friendliest people I’ve met in Europe. A trip I will repeat, without a doubt. I have fallen in love with Ireland.

Host family
This option has proven itself to be the most effective way to consolidate the language knowledge acquired throughout your stay. Staying in a single or twin room with half-board provided (full board at the weekends), you'll share the common rooms of the house with your hosts. The families generally live in nice districts on the outskirts of Dublin. You'll make the journeys to the school by train or by bus. This experience is a great opportunity to get to know local Dubliners and acquire conversational fluency in English!

Please note that students aged 16-18 years will be placed in twin rooms during July and August

Kilkenny, Powerscourt, Glendalough, Belfast, Galway, the Cliffs of Moher and Connemara will be on the programme of outings at the weekend. And to finish, salsa, hip hop and Irish dancing classes will add rhythm to your language study stay!
