In Izmir, staying with a host family will allow you to fully enjoy the local life. You will have your own room, with breakfast or half board provided. The bathroom and common rooms are shared with the rest of the family. Bedlinen and towels are provided and washed every week. Our partner school carefully selects its host families, so you can practise Turkish in a relaxed and stimulating atmosphere outside the school. In most houses, internet access is available and free. To reach the language school, you will need about 30 minutes by public transports.
If you wish to enjoy a greater independence during your language stay in Izmir, opt for a studio with private bathroom and kitchen area. Facilities include a refrigerator, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, television and DVD player. You will have access to Wi-Fi internet access. The school building is located within a 10-minute walk.

The multicultural city of Izmir offers many different activities, like archaeological sites, water parks, beaches, clubs and unlimited shopping opportunities. Our partner school organises guided tours of the city and its surroundings. On the beach, enjoy the sport acitivities like paragliding or diving (lessons available). The cultural programme proposed by Royal Turkish will allow you to discover the historical side of Turkey, including the conquest by Ancient Rome, the Medieval Smyrna and the Ottoman Izmir. On request, excursions to the Greek islands of Samos and Chios are organised during the weekend. Visit the beautiful Çeşme, a holiday destination whose imposing fortress was built in the 16th century by the Ottomans, or Ilica, a large thermal centre where you can find hot water sources in the sea - a unique phenomenon in the world! Don't miss out on the spectacular site of Pamukkale, approximately 250 km from Izmir, where white mineral substances originating from thermal waters form big terraces that change colour with the sunlight. Ephesus, formerly one of the most important cities and today a vast archeological site, is a bit closer, around 80 km from where you're staying. To finish, Kusadasi awaits you on the shores of the Aegean Sea, about 100 kilometres from Izmir. This fromer fishing village has become a fashionable seaside resort with stunning beaches.
