Enjoy full insight into the daily life of Riga’s inhabitants, especially Russian-speaking families living in the region. This is a great opportunity to practice Russian in a relaxed setting. You will share communal areas with the members of the family, but have your own bedroom. On request and at an extra cost, you can enjoy a private bathroom in a family living in a detached house, rather than an apartment. You can choose from breakfast or half board. The families usually live around 20-30 minutes (max. 45 minutes) from the school building.
This solution offers greater independence and is suitable for students who wish to live together with other international participants. In the same building as the course centre, you can occupy a single or twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom, prepare your meals in the communal kitchen and enjoy the lively neighbourhood on your doorstep. Once a week, bedlinen and towels are changed during housekeeping. The Wi-Fi network provides free internet access and a washing machine is available to students staying in the apartment.
Other shared apartments are offered at an average distance of 15 to 30 minutes from the school (Riga) or 35-45 minutes (Jurmala).
Choose this option if you wish to be fully independent. You will occupy the accommodation by yourself or with one or several other people travelling with you and can, therefore, benefit from a quiet or social atmosphere after classes. You will either stay in a studio in town (less than 15 minutes’ walk from the school) or in a house in the Jurmala seaside area (30 to 40 minutes’ commute). Bedlinen and towels are provided. Housekeeping is offered at a charge.

Our school offers many different activities in order to show you the whole range of entertainment options available in Riga. Trips together with the other international students will allow you to get a feel for the local atmosphere while the walking city tour, organised by the school every second Monday, will highlight the city’s main sights. Visit a balm factory, a brewery or a traditional bakery and take part in guided cultural outings on various themes, including the Soviet occupation. The school will also take you to the white sand beaches of Jurmala.
Discover the treasures of the Latvian capital, stroll about the quiet little streets of the historic centre and admire the richly decorated buildings. Riga and its attractions are there for you to enjoy!
