All classrooms are equipped with interactive Touchscreen TV’s. Between classes, you can relax and enjoy the wonderful view from the rooftop terrace or go to one of the cafés on the ground floor. A language resource centre with video material, a library, computers with internet access as well as a reading or study room are all at your disposal. Sehr gut:)

ECSt. Julians
Duration: 18 weeks

Once I had made the decision to go to Malta for my language holiday, ESL organised a fantastic course for me consisting of a 9 week course and 9 week internship, which was exactly what I wanted. It was perfect to improve my English and meet people from different cultures before doing a 9 week work placement where I could put everything I’d learnt into practice. I could even establish new contacts. The school’s teachers are very knowledgeable and the lessons were interesting and varied. Our group was well prepared for the CAE exam. I had a good relationship with my host family and spent many hours with them. I even went on outings with them and learnt a lot about Maltese culture during these trips. Malta is an amazing country and I spent four unforgettable months on this Mediterranean island! Thank you so much ESL!

ECSt. Julians
Duration: 12 weeks

St Julians is an excellent destination for an English course if you are interested in different cultures and historical diversity. As Malta was successively occupied by various invaders, the island was strongly influenced by various nations. Paceville is no doubt the most popular place with young students and it is located not far from the school. There is always something going on in Paceville. Even though the island is quite small, there are plenty of places and villages to visit. The bus network is well developed, which allows for easy travel. Malta caters for all tastes!

EC, St. Julian's
Duration: 12 weeks

The lessons were varied and interactive, and taught by well-prepared and friendly teachers. The school is beautiful and welcomes students from all over the world. What’s more, there are always activities and excursions scheduled, so you never get bored. And because St Julians is such an entertaining place, it is easy to make friends and practice English with them. The host family was fantastic, the lady that put me up was nice and available, and she always made me feel at home.

Host family
The best way to practise your English and gain a better understanding of the Maltese culture is to stay with a host family. The school visits each host family to ensure that they are providing students with a warm, comfortable and friendly environment. Families offer breakfast only or half-board and a single or double room. They are located between 10-30 minutes' walking distance or by bus from the school. In summer, the journey may be slightly longer. You can also request a private bathroom for a higher level of comfort.

Note: It is compulsory for students under 18 to book homestay accommodation and provide a parental consent form.

Standard shared apartments (from 18 years) (recommended 18-27)
These apartments offer single and twin rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a shared bathroom. Private bathroom available on request. Most of the apartments are located only a few minutes from the school, but during the high season, the walk may take up to 30 minutes. Bed linen and towels are provided and a laundry room is also available. Wi-Fi is free, air-conditioning is available at an extra cost and rooms are cleaned every week.

Comfort Studio / One-bedroom apartments
Located a 25-minute walk from EC St Julian’s, these apartments are comfortable and stylish. You’ll be able to choose between a single studio with private bathroom, or a one-bedroom apartment with a twin room and shared bathroom. In each apartment, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, a living and dining area, free air-conditioning and Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels, and a washing machine available at no additional cost. The cleaning service is also included. Thanks to this home-away-from-home, you’ll have a wonderful time in Malta!

Hotel or private apartment
The island of Malta has dozens of hotels for all tastes and all budgets. We are at your disposal for further information.

Lovers of historic buildings will enjoy the numerous churches and other monuments that bear witness to all the great Empires who dreamed of one day dominating the Mediterranean. Sports fans will be satisfied on land as well as on water, and the underwater world is also to be discovered. You can dance the night away with thousands of other students from all over the world, or enjoy the tranquillity of a nocturnal boat trip. EC offers a beach club close to the school. Stone beaches are waiting for you, and the crystal clear waters of the bay offer excellent conditions for diving.
