Students will take a placement test on the first Monday of the camp to determine their language level. In the modern classrooms, teachers use multimedia equipment available, including interactive whiteboards, to foster a communicative approach to learning English. At the end of the week, a progress test will allow your teacher to guide you better in your learning process. You will attend 20 lessons of 45 minutes weekly. At the end of your course, you will receive a certificate attesting to the language level achieved. In addition to the 20 weekly lessons of the standard course, you may book 5 private lessons of 45 minutes per week in order to enjoy private lessons.

Die Hälfte aller Schüler bestand aus Deutschsprachigen. Ich fand der Standort der Schule gut. In der Nähe gab es kleine Läden und die U-Bahn war auch nicht weit entfernt. Wir hatten KEINE Freizeit! Wenn man das bisschen überhaupt noch Freizeit nennen kann ... Wir hatten insgesamt 4h Freizeit. Und das nicht mal regelmässig. Wir mussten auf JEDE Aktivität mitgehen und hatten keine Zeit London zu entdecken oder auch nur ein einziges mal alleine auf die U-Bahn zu gehen und die Freiheit zu geniessen. Natührlich konnten wir während den Aktivitäten/Ausflügen manchmal selber shoppen gehen oder einfach mal im Park entspannen aber dann eben nur wenn man über 14 Jahre alt war und die Eltern etwas unterschrieben haben.Wasd ich ja noch verstehen kann. London ist gross und gefährlich, aber ich ging nach London um die Stadt uf eigene Faust zu entdecken und geniessen. Wir mussten in einer 60 Personen Gruppe in die U- Bahn gehen, und hatten dann wenn wir an der Baker Street oder so angekommen waren max. 2h Freizeit in London. Das Team war wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Bei der Reception gab es noch einige Mängel doch das ALPADIA Team selbst war wirklich super. Sie waren auch multikult. Als ich einmal krank wurde haben sie nach mir gesehen. An all diesen Mängeln kann aber auch das Team von ALPADIA nichts.

Residence
Our partner school’s comfy and well-equipped residence is only 5 minutes away on foot from the classrooms. You’ll stay in a single bedroom with a private en-suite bathroom, which will be cleaned weekly for free. You’ll be provided with bedsheets upon arrival and will find on-site laundry facilities at an extra charge – don’t hesitate to ask the friendly staff around for help!
The residence’s common areas include a kitchen, a lounge and a dining area, which are perfect for socialising with your new international friends around the pool table or the TV!

A full and varied social programme is available after classes, ensuring you enjoy daily entertainment from morning to night! The programme includes indoor and outdoor sports, as well as cultural visits and city outings. All activities are supervised by experienced group leaders. At the end of the day, you'll enjoy a variety of themed evenings including quiz nights, karaoke or disco parties. Get ready to have lots of fun with your new international friends! Last but not least, weekly half day and full day excursions will take you to explore London and beyond: from Buckingham Palace to Camden Town, Oxford to Brighton, and much much more, you will wish you could stay longer to discover it all!
