Language course in Munich: Shopping

ESL - Shopping
Munich’s high street, the Kaufingerstraße, is marked by the arches of Karlstor Gate and has all the major German and international brands you would expect. If kitschy souvenirs are what you’re looking for, hit up the Orlandostraße, right outside the famous Hofbräuhaus. Need a shopping centre? The Fünf Höfe is as central as it gets if a bit on the pricey side, while the Olympia-Einkaufszentrum shopping centre is much bigger with more moderately priced brands and is an easy 15 minutes by metro from the centre of Munich.

For foodies, there’s no better shopping destination than the Viktualienmarkt. Opened in the 19th century, this bustling market is still the place to get fresh produce, cheese, meat and everything else under the sun. There are even tables where you can have a sit-down meal after picking up some German delicacies from the food stalls. Guten Appetit!
