Language course in Sydney: Shopping

Oxford Street in Paddington is a great place to shop in Sydney. The tree-lined back streets are filled with great little boutiques, cosy cafes and restaurants. Outside of the city centre, Darlinghurst and Surry Hills have a wide range of original boutiques and an increasing amount of flea markets that stay open into the evening, so you can shop with a beer in hand and a DJ playing. Newtown is always popular with students learning English in Sydney, not just for shopping, but for its festivals and cheap food. In Cabramatta (see our Sydney tips), you will find unique handcrafts and Asian imports, including fabrics and foods. Darling Harbour is great for upmarket shopping and a nice place to stick around into the evening.
