There are scores of places to shop till you drop in Edinburgh. Stop by the Royal Mile Market housed in a former church, Tron Kirk, for an eclectic offer of jewellery, clothing, accessories and home goods, or visit the Stockbridge Sunday Market for artisan-made items plus fresh produce and food stalls. Check out the colourful Grassmarket on Saturdays where you can stock up on picnic supplies and local arts and crafts.
For more mainstream shopping, head to the Ocean Terminal where you’ll find all the major brand names plus a cinema and restaurants. The Royal Mile is of course littered with souvenir shops if you’re looking for t-shirts, postcards, snow globes and the like.
